The PalmStar CD-99 is fully compatible with available formats such as:

MODE 1: CD-ROM (Data CD)

MODE 2: Photo-CD, CD-I, CD-MPEG (Movie CD), CD-ROM/XA

CD-DA (MusicCD), Multi-session, CD-Plus, CD-Extra etc.

All formats are detected automatically and duplication starts instantly.

PalmStar CD-99 is compatible with different brands of 4X / 6X / 8X CD-Writer including Yamaha, TEAC, Sony, Panasonic, Sanyo, Plextor, etc. and the latest CD-RW Writer.

External SCSI case with two external SCSI-I connectors
External SCSI terminator.
CD-ROM drive: SCSI bus
        Such as: TEAC 532S, Sony 625
                        Plextor 32R or above will be needed for 6X above writing.
CD-R/RW writer: SCSI bus
        Such as : TEAC (55S/56S/58S), Panasonic (7502B), Sony (948)
                         Yamaha (400T/4260/4416S), Plextor (800SN), Sanyo (R800)
                         CD-RW writer can write both CD-R and CD-RW disc
                         CD-R writer can support only CD-R disc writing
