Purchase Cheyenne HSM on a "per hierarchy" basis. Cheyenne HSM supports one primary server per hierarchy. Additional primary servers can be added to the hierarchy by purchasing an Expansion Module for each server. The Base Package provides suppOn for one migration-enabled primary server, one secondary controller, and one tertiary controller. These three components of the Base Package can reside on one, two, or three servers. Unlimited capacity of magnetic, optical and tape storage is supported at the secondary and tertiary levels. To support more than one hierarchy, you should purchase additional Cheyenne HSM Base Packages and additional primary migrators (expansion modules).
