Greystone Peripherals now offers the affordable Tomahawk DS-700 Disk Duplicator solution for the mixed-volume system integrator business. Ideal for small volume applications, the Tomahawk is the long wished for dual mode duplication system which enables you to duplicate both SCSI and IDE hard drives as needed.

The IDE duplication mode enables you to selectively copy program software and data from one IDE master source drive to two target IDE hard disk drives, simultaneously, as fast as the IDE interface allows. The duplication process, including formatting and verification, operates at less than 3 seconds per megabyte. If 100 megabytes were to be duplicated to two 1.6 GB disk drives simultaneously, duplication time would be less than 5 minutes for both drives!

The SCSI duplication mode enables you to selectively copy media from one source SCSI drive to up to six SCSI target drives. Copying is done on a byte-by-byte basis so the copy is an exact duplicate of the original, guaranteeing data integrity. It will copy disk to disks, tape to tapes. User selectable options allow the data to be verified after it is written and errors to be logged to a disk file. Utility commands allow the block size of disk drives to be changed, and the drives to be low-level formatted to a factory-new condition.

The Tomahawk software provides easy to use menu-driven screens for setting up the source/target devices for duplication. Options such as specifying the range of blocks to be copied for partial disk copying, whether to 'write and verify" data, logging of errors to a disk file, changing the block size of disk drives and low-level formatting are available for custom control of your copying needs. The Tomahawk is compatible with DOS, Windows 95/98 and NT, OS/2, Mac OS and UNIX operating systems.
