Ricoh-mp6200S

MP6200S Specifications - 2X/6X CD-Rewritable Drive

Overview: Ricoh developed the world's first rewritable CD, the CD-ReWritable, and it has become a commercial success. The Multimedia Printer Series Drive (the CD-R/RW Drive) can do much more than read and write the usual CD-R discs. When you load it with a rewritable CD-RW disc, you can record, read, and edit any kind of data, because these discs allow you to rewrite information that has already been recorded.

Features:

  • Ricoh's original completely sealed flexible door construction provides high reliability.
  • Running OPC* gives a flatter writing signal that improves reliability.
  • An improved anti-heat design means that no cooling fan is needed.
  • Easy-to-use tray model.
  • Uses the world standard SCSI II interface.
  • Can read not only CD-R and CD-RW discs, but also video CD'S, music CD'S, and photo CD'S.
  • Can read data at 6X speed (900KB/sec. Data transfer rate) and write data at 2X speed (300KB/sec. Data transfer rate).
  • The recorded CD-RW media can be played in a DVD player or multimedia CD-ROM player, maintaining future compatibility.
  • Supports packet write for easy writing to CD-R and CD-RW discs.
  • * Continuously monitors the signal level during recording and adjusts the laser power to compensate when the disc is dirty, insuring a flat signal.
