and write in double speed. In addition to saving you time when you record
your own discs, double speed playback allows you to play the latest software

Audio
You can record whatever music or other audio you want with this machine,
because it supports Red Book Audio. And whether you want to import audio
into an application, or just listen to your favorite group, the CD-R 1002
provides standard audio output jacks for easy hookup.
Memory
The CD-R 1002 recording stations feature a data buffer of a full one
megabyte. A buffer that big will eliminate a host of problems in writing
your CD, as well as improve playback performance.

Mach Four
The Smart and Friendly CD-R 4000 recording stations' unique features
make them the speed demons of the Cd-R world. They boast single, double
or Quad speed recording, which means that a full 650MB disc can
be recorded in just 17 minutes...one fourth the time it took with
older generation drives.
The CD-R 4000 stations are no slouches during playback either. Searching through large databases becomes a joy, not a chore, because your waiting time is drastically reduced. Simply put, speed amakes you more efficient.
Stereo CD Quality
The CD-R 4000 stations can play back stereo CD discs as well as CD-ROM
discs. The unit has rear panel audio output jacks which let you hook up
standard stereo audio cables and export your music to a computer, to recording
devices such as cassette or reel-to-reel, or even to a pair of speakers.
Speed Buffer
To ensure protection against data glitches during recording, the CD-R
4000 stations come with a generous 512K data buffer. This feature also
increases performance during playback by anticipating which data will be
accessed next, moving it to the buffer, and then responding at the speed
of light when the computer does request the data.
Multi-talented
The CD-R 4000 stations, like the CD-R 1002 stations, are very versatile
recorders. They support mixed mode operations, so you can record multimedia
applications, images, music and even spreadsheet data all on a single disc.
They also have multisession capability (up to 99 recording sessions!),
support multiple standards, and can read and write to both 8cm and 12cm
